Burglar suspects arrested
On October 13th 2015 the Coleman Police Department investigated a burglary in the 2700 block of Guadalupe Street.
Entry to the residence was made by kicking in the back door. Some of the items stolen during the burglary were jewelry and two handguns.
Tomas Alejandro Salinas, 21 of Coahuila Mexico and Christopher Allen Lester, 31 of Coleman have been arrested, charged and indicted by the Coleman County Grand Jury for the burglary.
Both handguns and some of the other items have been recovered. Salinas has been released on a $25,000.00 bond and Lester remains in jail on the burglary charge as well as other charges.
Chamber Fire Pit & Gift Card Winner
The Coleman Chamber of Commerce, Agriculture & Tourist Bureau held their annual Fundraiser. During the Deer Hunter’s BBQ, the Chamber had a drawing for a custom made fire pit, valued at $500.00 (made by the Coleman High School Ag Students) and a Gift Card valued at $350.00. The name on the ticket drawn was Coleman’s very own Ken Greaves.
